Anne Marie Elder

 Anne Marie is a passionate spoon and bowl carver who has embraced 17th-century decorative techniques under the guidance of fellow woodworker Rick. Her craftsmanship extends beyond wood—she’s also a skilled leather worker and enjoys exploring other pre-industrial arts, including basket making. A proud member of the Granby Artists Associat

 Anne Marie is a passionate spoon and bowl carver who has embraced 17th-century decorative techniques under the guidance of fellow woodworker Rick. Her craftsmanship extends beyond wood—she’s also a skilled leather worker and enjoys exploring other pre-industrial arts, including basket making. A proud member of the Granby Artists Association, Anne Marie brings tradition and creativity together in everything she makes.

Today, he crafts spoons and bowls with skill and artistry, and is steadily mastering the intricate art of 17th-century decorative carving in the style of Peter Follansbee. A dedicated educator, Rick regularly teaches at the Eric Sloane Museum, where he s

 Bob Ferris is a seasoned woodworker specializing in spoon and bowl carving. Together with his wife, Mary, he enjoys crafting imaginative cutting boards that blend function with artistry. Known for his expertise in tool sharpening, Bob also dabbles in a variety of traditional crafts—from willow wreaths to the occasional basket—reflecting

This year, we're delighted to have Sarah guiding a basket making session, bringing her creative spirit to the community once again.

When he's not studying or working, he's honing his skills in both metal and wood. He is passionate about spoon carving, blacksmithing, toolmaking, timber framing, and exploring new techniques and metho

 Tobias is a junior studying Building Construction Technology at UMass Amherst, a passionate green woodworker, and a developing toolmaker. When he's not studying or working, he's honing his skills in both metal and wood. He is passionate about spoon carving, blacksmithing, toolmaking, timber framing, and exploring new techniques and methods in traditional craft. He teaches smithing and green woodwork at his college's Makerspace.
